A Eulogy to Alan Young - The Richest Actor in the World

Today we say goodbye to a very dear friend, who we have never met, but his life and career has touched us all. Alan Young, who was born in British, Canadian and Scottish descent, was born to be a proud character actor, whether it's on the radio, talking to a horse (of course), or being the Richest Duck in the World, Scrooge McDuck. For nearly a century, Young entertained everybody, young or old, no matter what genre in the media.  So the next time we collect lucky dimes or make a fortune, know this, from what we learned from Scrooge McDuck is that no matter how much money you make, making people smile and caring for one another is what makes us even more richer than all the money in the world. Goodbye, Alan Young. No matter where you are now, there are no seamonsters eating your ice cream where you are at now. Godspeed, my friend.

A Quick Update

Hey,what's happening Toonatics. Just a quick update for you reguarding this blog. As you know I have a life outside of this world wide web and my time is limited now that I have extra responsibilities in 'the real world'. I will be very busy.

Plus,I wanna put more focus on my other 2 blogs 'Modern Vintage Wrestling' and 'Giga Fiction', as well my DeviantArt Gallery 'ModernVintageStudios'. So follow them if you aren't already. Though,my DA Gallery is on hiatus until I get a new laptop.

I may even create a 4th blog in the future, just for personal logs and stuff.

But why a 4th, You Ask? After All,I Will be very busy,as I've said.

Well,That's another reason,I posted this. I have decided to add some more contributors to this site, since I won't be on it as often as needed. I want this blog to be surging with life. And the only way to do it,is with more help.

To become a contributor, you must provide me your e-mail address in the comments section. But there's a catch, you must either be a Google member (with a gmail) or a member of Blogger.

So,If you think you can handle the task and focus on Cartoons and all things Retro...Welcome Aboard!

Oh,and remember to watch the language too...this is still a PG/PG-13 blog after all.

Death of a DigiDestined and a Rich Duck! - The Passing of Yuko Mizutani and Alan Young!

2016 has proven once again that no matter what age you are or how healthy you are, death is right near your doorstep. Which is the case of the following people who passed.

First off, Japanese Seiyu, Yuko Mizutani, has died of Breast Cancer (CANCER, ALWAYS CANCER!). She was 51. Although I don't know much about her, but she has done voices in anime, video games and so forth, such as Sora from Digimon, Iris from Megaman X4, Minnie Mouse (contrast to her English speaking counterpart, Russi Taylor) and just recently, as Usagi's mother, Ikuko Tsukino from the reboot, Sailor Moon Crystal. It's just sad, known to this day, there is no known cure for cancer. It such a cure was found, she would've lived. Chemotherapy alone will only accelerate the death sentence even further. And that's just sad.

Speaking of which, what makes it more sadder is the fact that Alan Young died, not long after Ms. Mizutani's passing. He was 96 (what a trooper). Young was a character actor who appeared mostly in television and some movies. But, he is best known not only as Wilbur Post from Mister Ed, but he was also the voice of the Richest Duck in the World, Scrooge McDuck, who started voicing him in Mickey's Christmas Carol and into Ducktales. Young continued to voice Scrooge throughout the next decade, not just with Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, but also with Ducktales Remastered until the very end.

With that said, here's to both Ms. Mizutani and Mr. Young. Thank you for all the good memories for all animation. Guess joking about a seamonster eating ice cream won't be so funny now. :'(

A Simple Solution Of What Should Be Done For The Disney Networks!

We at the American Cartoon Federation and Gamers everywhere would like to take a moment to mourn the losses of both Disney Infinity and Disney Interactive as a whole. Earlier this week,Disney themselves announced that DI has ended and Disney Interactive will no longer make or publish Console Games.

Such a sad turn of events and I wouldn't be surprised if Bob Iger was behind all of this,he's Always been against intellegent things.

Anyway, let us bow our heads in a moment of silence,as the bell tolls for these 2 unfortunate casualties.

*bell tolls 10x*

R.I.P.
Disney Infinity
2013-2016

R.I.P.
Disney Interactive
1984 - 2016
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have deleated my Mega Crusader v Iger Era series, because It was too redundant. Iger Hates The Fans,He Hates the Classics,He's A Money Fetishist,He's A Hannah Montana Fetishist,He's Behind The Total Rapage Of The Disney Networks,He Has A Damn Teeny-Bopper Fetish, and He Loves To Screw Everyone.

Plus,He Hates Our New Favorites and either Cancels Them or Ends Them Early. And Is He Repentant? HELL NO!!! He's a Damn Bastard! So Yeah,I'm stating the Obvious so much, that I'm starting to sound like a broken record.

Hopefully He'll be gone by 2018 and replaced with someone who is more like Michael Eisner.

Here's a fact, the shows he has canceled/ended early were Cartoons. Seems like Iger has a bit of Judge Doom in him.

*sigh* Anyway, the whole thing is canceled. Ranting never got me anywhere anyway. So as a superior substutute,I'm gonna talk about a simple solution to the Disney Network Problem. This will be my final effort to reach out to Disney. Ben Sherwood Needs to read this.

First lets talk about the Disney Channel. In recent times,Disney Channel has become more and more stale with it's lack of diversity, mostly terrible shows and movies, and bad program direction. What needs to be done is for the network to return to it's roots,a 24/7 family network witha wide variaty of diverse movies and programing.

Also,It must get rid of the Teeny-Bopper and Girly trash, that is key to revival. Only do General Audience and Parental Guidence programing (the latter at night).

The Girly Girl and Teeny-Bopper Fetishes are terrible and ugly things, that cause so much pain and suffering.

Cutting the Pre-School block from 8 hours everyday to only 3 hours every weekday, from 9am - 12am also needs to be done. Also, revive the Disney Afternoon, weekdays from 3pm - 6pm. Oh and, create a block soley for Canadian stuff and keep them there.

Also,Animation and Live-Action should be balanced. And of course, good program direction counts.

All of these things I mentioned will make the Disney Channel good again.

Next up,Disney XD. It needs to be converted into an All Action Network..With superior program direction. Action Cartoons,Movies, and Live-Action Shows would be this Network's main focus. Yes,even shows that are TV-14 or movies that are PG-13 should be allowed to air on this network. The network shouldn't be for children, but for Teens and Young Adults.

Disney Junior The Channel needs to be converted into The Disney Movie Channel, period. And,natch, good program direction counts here as well.

And finally,Freeform. It should stay the same, but air only Comedy and Drama stuff....with less focus on women and girls.

With this plan, these networks will skyrocket in ratings.

To recap:

Disney Channel = Diverse Family Network with General Audience and Parental Guidence Shows and Movies.

Disney XD = All Action Network For Teens and Young Adults.

Disney Jr. = A Network For Disney Movies.

Freeform = The Comedy and Drama Network with Less Focus On Women and Girls.

So yeah, there ya go. To be honest,my heart wasn't in making the "Mega Crusader vs The Iger Era" project. I have also decided to lay off my attacks on Disney. I will praise the shit out of the Eisner Era though. I will Never stop loving that Era of Disney.

Disney will always be special to me,that's why I hate Bob Iger and his corperate minions, they ruin everything.

Anyway, yeah,I'm done with raging against Iger and his mostly horrid Era. So,what next? Well,I'm gonna focus on my Own Network ideas. I'll start with a list of names to call my 1st Network.

If they reject you and your ideas,Go into business for yourself.

See Ya,Space Cowboy.

Rekka Dragon Jay Presents: ProStars 2.0

With all the talk about a new Space Jam movie featuring NBA Superstar Lebron James (which I know it will not do well like the original with Michael Jordan), I figure I conjure up an idea which will be a bit more sound than another Space Jam.

Remember that time in the early 90s when they have a sports themed cartoon on a network that have stopped showing cartoons on Saturdays, which caused a chain reaction that completely destroyed Saturday Mornings forever? Well, back in the early 90s before the nightmare began, NBC used to show the cartoon, ProStars, which featured Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretsky and Bo Jackson fighting bad guys and helping kids on the way. The idea of cartoon version of our favorite sports heroes fighting evil with sport-themed gadgets sounded awesome, but it was short-lived and got axed, along with Captain N and the new Super Mario World and Chipmunks Go To The Movies, which ultimately ended their cartoon block on Saturdays, which started this anti-animated nightmare, which lasted 2 or so decades, even with the advent of cable, satellite and the internet.

Anyway, my idea of a new ProStars cartoon will be completely different. Instead of three real life sports heroes, I will go with one real one and two fictional ones. They consist on Lebron James himself, representing basketball like Jordan, Wildwing Flashblade from The Mighty Ducks, representing hockey like Gretsky and finally, and the dark horse of this new team, Bones Justice from Mutant League, representing both baseball and football, just like Bo "Knows" Jackson. After all, in the original games, Bones Justice was originally called Bones Jackson as a nod to Bo, but changed due to lawsuits. Speaking of Bones Justice,he looks like an skeletal version of WWE Legend Bret "Hitman" Hart. Way cool.

Anyway, this version takes place years after the original ProStars, where the original team have since retired, Mom from Mom's Gym has passed on and her apprentice, Denise, now runs the gym and has a apprentice of her own named Kevin Sentry, a young boy, who is a young sports fan, who serves a the comic relief, just like Mom.

As for the bad guys, we will see the usually bad guy of the day, but the main villains consist on the uneasy alliance of Lord Dragaunus, the Saurian Overlord and Zalgor Prig, the corrupt owner of the Mutant League. Dragaunus wants to destroy everything sports related, including hockey while Prig wants to find the perfect athlete for his organization, but under his image, even if it means eliminating the competition. The reason for their pairing and why they are in the present is because of a malfunctioning dimensional generator, but that's another story.

Like the original, the new ProStars will have their sport themed gadgets. Lebron with his trick basketballs and rocket powered shoes. Wildwing is a walking arsenal with his trusty puck launchers, rocket powered skates and extendable hockey stick. Finally, Bones, since he is a mutant, he has super strength, agility and can remove his limbs for additional feats no ordinary human can't do (e.g. uses his arm to hit a home run after his bat broke).

The Q&A session at the end of the episode will remain the same. Some questions will based on real life issues like something out of a PSA, while some are based on the episode, characters, etc.

And finally, I like the first theme of ProStars better. We Are ProStars is a better theme than ProStars Show Stars. The only difference is the lyrics, since this is about Lebron, Wildwing and Bones instead of Jordan, Gretsky and Bo.

So there you have it. ProStars 2.0 in a nutshell. I know it isn't much, but if done correctly, it will surpass the original. And remember, just like the original...

It's all about helping kids!

(ProStars End Credits Theme Plays)
