GAME OVER, MAN! - The Fall of Bill Paxton

This just in.

Bill Paxton, the actor who made the phrase, "GAME OVER, MAN! GAME OVER!", synonymous with pop culture, has died on February 25, 2017 due to (surprise, surprise) complications due to surgery, the same botched surgery that took the lives of Tony Jay, James Avery, Lee "Hawk" Reherman and Joan Rivers. Paxton as we all know, is known for many things, not only chasing tornadoes like in Twister, being a goofball to a bunch of nerds in Weird Science, being a car salesman pretending to be a spy in True Lies, but to many like myself, he was known as the very person who was killed by an Alien, a Predator and a Terminator. Did I forget to mention he appeared on Marvel's Agents of SHIELD, last time I checked?

Look, the point is, this is why I am afraid to go under the knife. Because I am afraid that I will end up like those people I have mentioned, because what if that surgeon was all Dr. Kevorkian and kill you on the operating table, even if the surgery was a success. When I heard that he died, I thought to myself like his character Hudson from Aliens and said this, "God, this can't be happening, man! This can't be happening!" But after hearing about this, it just happened. Other than all the other hoo-ha that I am hearing, 2017 has gone to a rotten start, especially when another piece of nostalgia dies because of crooked surgery. Here's to you, Bill Paxton. You may have been somewhat of a colorful character, but your banter and sarcastic wit will live on in our hearts for all eternity. Godspeed.

Jason's Gallery - Black History Month Collection

Hey there, Toonsters!

Since we are in February, and this is Black History Month, I present to you my mini fanart collection, featuring the following characters that represents Black History month and all its glory.

"The Black Panther is ready to stalk again!"

First off, here we have T'Challa aka The Black Panther, the ruler of the African nation of Wakanda and one of the card carrying members of The Avengers, whose nation is one of the rarest places that contains lots and lots of Vibranium, one of the rarest metals in the world, next to Adamantium. As his name provides, this is one panther who will stalk against those who threaten his homeland or the entire world for that matter. So if I were you, stay clear of Wakanda cause if you cause trouble there, the Black Panther won't hesitate to pounce.

"I am one with the wind and I am mother nature personified. I am Storm."

Next up, here we have the Mistress of the Elements herself, Ororo Munroe aka Storm from the X-Men. Since her first appearance in Giant Size X-Men in 1975, Storm has proven to be a strong, vibrant leader to the X-Men's cause for Human/Mutant equality. Indeed, a very strong black woman, and a proud one, too.

"The name's Static, and I'll put a shock to your system!"

And finally, here we have Virgil Ovid Hawkins aka Static. Even though I never read the Static Shock comics, but it was the cartoon based on the comic that introduced me to Static. For a kid from Dakota, whose older sister was bratty and father was a social worker, Static's life wasn't easy, but he always keeps a positive outlook in life, whether it's battling Bang-Babies or real life issues like guns, violence, racism and so on and so forth. Wish he appeared on The Flash, so he could pal around with not just Barry, but also Cisco, too. That would be something.

And there you have it. I may not be down with this whole Black Lives Matter thing, but if you do Black History Month right, all lives truly matter. And these characters are examples of that, even if they are fictional. Stay frosty, my friends. Fight the Power!

Corrupt Corporate Executives - Fictional Villain Comparisons

As we all know, that whether its this year or all the other years before it, our world is a dark, corrupt place. It is never rainbows and unicorns like in cartoons and anime. And one of the main factors of this are the very corrupt corporate executives who manipulate the system for their base ends for the sole purpose in outlawing everything fun like animation, gaming, and our very freedom of speech and expression. Speaking of which, in our last previous blogs, me and Stefan use to compare one corrupt exec to multiple fictional villains, one with Bob Iger and the other one with Henry Schleiff. But unlike the last two, this comparison list will be a bit different. Instead of comparing one exec with multiple villains, we will compare one exec to a villain of my choosing. So, without further ado, let's begin shall we? Let's start with the basic examples.

Henry Scheliff - Tirek: He killed the Hub just like Tirek destroyed Twilight's Golden Oak Library and both names rhyme, so it makes perfect sense.

Nikki Reed - Queen Chrysalis: Both sucked the fun out of both MLP and the Hub as a whole. Need I say more?

Stuart Snyder - Judge Doom: Both hate toons, wanna replace it with live action that is superior to animation. No freeway plan on this one, that's for sure. It's just toon destruction with Snyder. And although he no longer works at Cartoon Network, his essence lives on and CN will never go back its former glory, especially with their anti-action stance.

Now, here are the rest.

Alfred R. Kahn - Shang Tsung/Shao Kahn: They will suck your soul out of your very being, by whitewashing Japanese culture in the animes they edit. And it makes sense that his name was based on either Khan from Star Trek or the Emperor of Outworld from Mortal Kombat. Either way, Al Kahn was the one exec who doesn't give guff to anyone who questions him. Did I forget to mention that he hates manga, too?

Neal Tiles - Quan Chi: He whitewashed gaming culture from G4 like Al Kahn did to anime at 4Kids. The way I see it, Tiles and Kahn are the real life Deadly Alliance.

Bob Iger - David Xanatos: Like Xanatos, Iger played us for saps. He is more clever than he is strong and that is what makes him even more dangerous. Xanatos-Gambit, anyone?

Vince McMahon - Norman Osborn aka The Green Goblin: Vinnie Mac has a bad case of Jekyll and Hyde. On one hand, he is normal, respectable businessman. And on the other hand, he is a psychotic nutcase, who just puts the snails on the back of wrestlers and throw them in the streets broke. And the worst part about all this? He embraced his psychotic side and that is the real Vince McMahon. This is why I call him Mr. McGoblin because he IS the REAL Green Goblin.

David Zaslav - Unicron: Although I haven't gotten to him yet in my video series, Anime Jason vs. Discovery Family (which I will resume when I can), but if I learn anything, especially in the case of Discovery, if Henry Scheliff is Tirek, then his boss, David Zaslav, is Unicron. The way I see, when Scheliff took over the Hub and replaced it with Discovery Family, Zaslav, in true Unicron style, devoured its essence along the way, just like planet Cybertron. Ouch!

Sumner Redstone - The Master Control Program: He started of small, just like Viacom. But, by the time the new millennium came, it became so out of control that everything we like, including Nickelodeon, was ruined completely. He started small and he's going to end small, just like the MCP. And for God's sake, enough with Fairly OddParents, already!

Donald Trump - Biff Tannen: Trump being our president is like Biff Tannen running Hill Valley to the ground. If that's not nightmare fuel, then I don't know what is.

And there you have it. Hope this list is completely stimulating. Let me know which exec and what villain you compare him/her with. Until then, stay frosty, my friends.

The One I Missed

You heard me bash Bob Iger and Ben Sherwood to no end, right? Well it turns out that there's a 3rd guy that needs attacking,a man that I neglected for years. Well, them days are over.

The man in question is Gary Marsh, the President and Cheif Creative Officer for the Disney Networks. Apparently, his position is directly under Ben Sherwood's,who's President of ABC/Disney Television Group.

For years,I've targeted Sherwood and Iger because they were the top guys at Disney, but from now on,I'll be going after Gary Marsh,as well.

Until next time,Stay Gold,Space Cowboys.

Solutions For The Toxic Pool

Adult Swim sucks, there's no denying it and Toonami is nothing compared to what it used to be. But the hugest problem with Adult (a-duh) Swim is the fact that it just doesn't belong on Cartoon Network.

Now, I've come up with 3 solutions for this Toxic Pool problem (so listen up, Christina Miller!):

1 - Take it off Cartoon Network and have it timeshare with TBS instead. TBS is a much Much better fit for Adult Swim's programming.

2 - Give Adult Swim it's own stand-alone Network. After all, Adult Swim Is classified as a Network now. Network Timesharing is a stupid concept anyway.

And 3 - Get rid of it Completely. Yeah, this one's highly unlikely at this point, but a guy can dream can't he? XD

Anyway, these are the 3 most logical solutions to handle Adult Swim. But, you ask, if Turner does all this, what the hell replaces it on Cartoon Network? Thankfully, I have a solution for this as well: A 4-5 Hour DC Nation block.

Now this block would air all the DC Animated shows: Past and Present. The newer shows will be TV-PG and under, making them a perfect fit for Cartoon Network.

This block would air the following shows: Superman: the Animated Series, Batman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, Static Shock, Teen Titans (the original), Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, The Batman, Legion of Super Heroes, Batman: Brave and the Bold, Young Justice, Green Lantern , Beware The Batman, and Justice League Action (I think that's what the new justice league show is called).

I'll be implementing these ideas in my upcoming Cartoon Network line-up, so stay tuned for that.

Well, I've given my Two-Cents on this matter.

See Ya,Space Cowboy!
